Lauterbach (Black Forest)

Get involved in nature conservation tasks in the middle of the Black Forest.

Group size

12 volunteers including 2 camp leaders

For the 13th time, the Lauterbach community invites young volunteers to an international workcamp.

The community and the LEV Middle Black Forest are looking forward to your support in various environmental and nature conservation tasks in a nature reserve in 2022.

The work: Several tasks related to nature conservation in the forest areas around Lauterbach are waiting for your help.

Every year, our volunteers support the Lauterbach community with nature conservation work in the forest around the Black Forest. In the past, this included, for example, the maintenance of hiking trails in the forest, the removal of "neophytes" (invasive non-native plants) from the nature reserve, the cleaning and clearing of vegetation in biotopes such as ponds and lakes, and the maintenance of orchards.

This camp is just right for you if you like physical work in nature. For work in damp and steep areas, you should definitely bring rubber boots and / or sturdy shoes with you.

The accommodation: The Moosenmättle in the middle of the Black Forest

The workcamp team lives in a beautiful communal house in the middle of the forest - the Moosenmättle. There are several dorm rooms, sanitary facilities, showers and a well-equipped kitchen. The house is in a very rural area. So look forward to two wonderful, eventful weeks away from everyday life.

The place: Lauterbach in the Black Forest

Lauterbach is located in the heart of the Black Forest Nature Park, near Schramberg and the city of Rottweil. There are many opportunities to hike and experience nature up close. At the weekend you can visit Rottweil or the university town of Freiburg from here, for example.
