The Youth Climate Pact Challenge

My world. My action. Our planet.

Do you have an idea for climate protection and are looking for support in implementing it? Or would you like to join young people who are already working on their own project ideas? On June 29th, 2021 the Youth Climate Pact Challenge started, part of the European Climate Pact of the European Commission. You can still join the challenge: Find a project idea in the Community Hub and join the respective project group or start a new project.

What is the challenge about?

Network with others and develop innovative project ideas for the engagement of young people for climate protection. There is no limit to the number of project ideas you can submit.

Short video presentations on the projects will be made by September 30th. The best projects will be presented after the summer to Frans Timmermans, Vice President and Commissioner for Climate Protection of the European Commission.

Who can take part in the challenge?

The European Commission invites young people between 15 and 30 years of age from all over Europe to take part in the Youth Climate Pact Challenge. You don't have to have any special experience or prior knowledge - from experienced sustainability activists to young people who are just taking their first steps on their way to more climate protection, everyone is welcome to join the challenge.

Here you can register for the Youth Climate Pact Challenge.

Sustainability and climate protection at IBG

In the coming year we will deal specifically with the topic of environmental protection in forests and peatlands. Do you have any tips on sustainable travel or sustainability in the workcamp? Or would you like to discuss sustainability and volunteering with us? Our association has had a working group on sustainability since 2017. The group is a place for everyone who would like to exchange ideas on the topic of sustainability or are looking for suggestions and tips for more sustainable living and working.

You can also find more information about sustainability at IBG on this page.
