Voluntary service in Wales (9 months)

Our Welsh partner organisation, the Welsh Center for International Affairs (WCIA) is looking for a volunteer to support the communications team from January to September 2023.

In this project you will work in Cardiff together with local staff and volunteers. In doing so, you will focus on communications (online and offline), building/maintaining the organization's alumni network, and helping tell the story of WCIA, highlighting impact, and increasing transparency.

Your main tasks:

  •     Help with communication and promotion offline and online

  •     Management of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

  •     Website content management

  •     Creation and sending of newsletters

  •     Engaging with current, past and potential volunteers

WCIA is looking for volunteers with a passion for global citizenship. It is crucial that you are able and willing to work on your own initiative and bring your own ideas to the project. Experiences in working with young people and international voluntary work are helpful, but can be expanded through the project.

Participation in the European Solidarity Corps is free. You will receive free board and lodging throughout your assignment. In addition, you will receive a small allowance for personal expenses throughout the duration of the project, including your vacation days.
