Plates Stories (France)

Join the "Plates Stories" for an adventure in the heart of the Vosges!

For two weeks, volunteers from France, Germany, and Ukraine will come together to discuss sustainable food, share experiences, and discover new things.

During the camp, you will be invited to participate in various workshops on this topic. This initiative is part of the RAN project (ReActNow), which aims to promote climate and social justice through concrete actions and awareness-raising activities.

When?

August 20th – September 3rd, 2026

What is the project about?

You will have the opportunity to...

  • visit local agricultural and artisanal production sites;

  • spend time with locals (interviews, joint cooking workshops to explore each other's national cuisines, etc.);

  • visit local markets and events;

  • discuss and question our relationship with food, the resulting inequalities, and the associated values;

  • participate in group activities (games, evening events organized by participants, etc.);

  • prepare an exhibition showcasing the collected material and reflections on future projects; and

  • ...shape many other aspects together!

In your day-to-day activities, you will be supported by a motivated team consisting of four group leaders, two facilitators, and a coordinator.

No special qualifications or skills are required—just the desire to make a difference together!

Sign up now!

We still have spots available for volunteers from Germany, so sign up right away to join this camp.

The camp is funded by the FGYO (DFJW) and is open to German, Ukrainian, and French volunteers aged 18 to 30. You will receive a travel subsidy; a maximum of €0.16/km (for the outbound journey only).
