Marsinne Folk Festival (Belgium)

Support the oldest traditional music festival in Wallonia!

The Marsinne Folk Festival has been organised by the non-profit organisation ‘Musiques et Traditions’ since 1992. This three-day folk festival features balls, concerts, dance workshops, an open-air stage, jam sessions, street theatre and puppet shows, as well as a market for instrument makers and craftspeople.

Whether you’re an experienced dancer, a keen music lover or just a casual day-tripper – this is the perfect place for you if you want to enjoy traditional music in a peaceful and easily accessible setting. You can look forward to a friendly, family-oriented festival with a unique atmosphere in a spectacular location. When they’re not performing on one of the three stages, the musicians often play together spontaneously, right in the middle of the audience or at the craft market.

When?

7th–18th September, 2026

What’s it all about?

You’ll be helping with the general set-up and dismantling of the festival. More specifically: setting up the stages, stalls and bar, as well as a bit of decorating and painting; when it comes to dismantling, it’s the same process in reverse.
