Erasmus+ Training: Climate Action Live Lab

Ready to make an impact? Be part of the Climate Action Live Lab!

At the Climate Action Live Lab (CALL), you can do both. Here, you will engage with other young volunteers on the topics of

  • climate justice
  • social justice and
  • sustainable development

We will exchange local perspectives and jointly develop practical ideas for action to increase the local impact of your volunteering projects.

When?

25th-30th May 2026 (including travel days)

Where?

The training will take place at Le Créneau in France.

Le Créneau is an old castle in Montcombroux Vieux Bourg in the Auvergne region in central France, built in 1873. Since 1993, the local delegation of our partner organisation Solidarités Jeunesses has been working here with international and french volunteers and the local population.

Throughout the year, young people meet here for working groups, training courses and workshops. In the summer, international Workcamps and cultural activities such as festivals, international evenings and concerts take place.

What is this training about?

The United Nations has declared 2026 the International Vounteer Year (IVY2026) to recognise and honour the important role volunteers play in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The aim is to raise the profile of volunteering and voluntary work, particularly in the areas of sustainability, climate, inclusion and community resilience.

We are building on this and want to develop small (or larger) ideas for action together during the Climate Action Live Lab, one of which you will then implement yourself in the summer with a group – in your camp, your ESC volunteering team, your Youth Exchange or similar group activity.

In addition, we will all participate together in the daily routine at the castle (cooking, cleaning, maintenance work, etc.).

Who can participate?

This training is suitable for volunteers, group leaders and youth workers. Experience with international voluntary service is desirable, but not a prerequisite.

Costs and travel expenses reimbursement

Participation in the training is free of charge.

The Climate Action Live Lab is funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme. Your travel expenses to and from France can therefore be reimbursed in accordance with the travel expense regulations for Erasmus+ projects.
