How Train Future Camp Leaders of Environmental Workamps?
Every year, we train many young people to become camp leaders for international Workcamps. This Training for Trainers is specifically designed to lay the foundation for how we will train camp leaders for environmental conservation Workcamps in the future. Together, we will explore questions such as:
🌱 How do we prepare camp leaders for the specific environmental project of the Workcamp?
🌱 What do camp leaders for an environmental conservation Workcamp need to know, bring along, or prepare themselves?
🌱 What kind of impetus can camp leaders provide or initiate in such a Workcamp?
🌱 How can camp leaders integrate local engagement into the Workcamp?
🌱 What aspects are important in environmental conservation Workcamps to pass on to international participants?
In the seminar, you will meet participants from Belgium, Germany, and Catalonia. As an international team, you'll shape the future of Camp Leader Training in three European Workcamp organizations!
With Green Horizons – Increase the Positive Ecological Handprint of International Volunteering, a joint environmental education and networking project with our partners COCAT (Catalonia) and Compagnons Bâtisseurs (Belgium), we are working to connect climate protection, environmental education, and global responsibility in order to make our volunteer projects even more environmentally friendly and to use them as an effective instrument for sustainable change.
