Symposium for and with Project Partners

Save the date!

Topics on the table

  • How planned local or regional projects can be realized or initiated with the support of international volunteers.
  • How to involve the public and promote public awareness and acceptance.
  • How projects can have a chance even with tight budgets and limited personnel resources.
  • How new impetus can be generated.
  • What experiences other cooperation partners have had and where they see specific challenges and added value.

Who is invited?

The symposium is aimed at independent organizations from the fields of nature conservation, culture and social services, as well as youth work. Both professionals who already use international workcamps and want to exchange ideas are invited, as well as professionals who would like to get an idea of whether Workcamps would be helpful for them, their institution, or their municipality.

What is the essence of international Workcamps?

In nature conservation and landscape management, as well as in cultural institutions, a great deal of manual labor is often required. This is where the involvement of international volunteers is particularly beneficial. Not only will their concrete work contribution of 700-1400 hours leave its mark, but it also carries significant symbolic value when local projects have an international dimension and impact.

For municipalities and other stakeholders at the local/regional level, international Workcamps and other international volunteer projects offer positive synergies with other areas of activity, including municipal youth work, village development, tourism promotion, nature and landscape conservation, and historic preservation. Especially in rural areas, international projects often bring new intercultural influences to the community and have the potential to foster a sense of global community and responsibility.
