Would you like to lead an international camp for the first time this year? Then come to our preparatory training in Rottenburg. You can participate if you are at least 18 years old and are considering leading a Workcamp.

The training starts on Thursday afternoon (a public holiday in many German states) and ends on Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately, the leisure and group center in Rottenburg is not wheelchair accessible.
What is this training about?
It essentially addresses the question: How do I lead a group? There are workshops on group processes, dealing with conflict, and your individual leadership style. There are also many practical tips and tricks for organization and everyday life with larger groups.
Here you'll meet other dedicated people who also want to lead camps, as well as the people behind the IBG association. Experienced team leaders will give you insights into 'their' camps and share how they overcame challenges or conflicts. The training is primarily intended for aspiring camp leaders. Of course, the units will also help you outside of the Workcamp world, for example, when leading youth camps.
Of course, participation doesn't oblige you to become a camp leader; you can also use the training to get to know each other and get a taste of the international volunteering world.
