Voluntary service in Estonia (up to 6months)

Support our colleagues of EstYES in Estonia through the European Solidarity Corps to work in various youth houses for up to 6 months.

Lääne-Harju Huvikeskus is a public youth center in northwest Estonia. The organization coordinates the work of seven youth spaces in different small towns. Young people between the ages of 7 and 26 are welcome to take part in the wide range of leisure activities offered by permanent employees or to initiate their own projects.

The core values of Lääne-Harju Huvikeskus are inclusion, cultural diversity and the promotion of non-formal education. Lääne-Harju Huvikeskus is open to accepting international volunteers who want to become part of their community.

EstYES is looking for a volunteer from February to the end of July 2024 (the exact date can be discussed).

Your tasks

You will support a team of youth workers in the daily activities of the centers in different locations and at the same time have the opportunity to see many places in Estonia and get to know people in Lääne-Harju County. Your tasks are:

  •      Assisting youth workers in planning and hosting various events and activities;

  •       Development, coordination and promotion of leisure activities for young people;

  •       Creating opportunities for youth initiatives, free self-development and creativity;

  •       Enabling young people to take part in work camps;

  •       Promoting youth activities and the Erasmus+ program.

The team provides you with task-related support and guidance by always collaborating with you.

Your profile

  •      You are between 18 and 30 years old.

  •      You enjoy working with children and young people.

  •      You are responsible and communicative.

  •      You have a positive attitude and an open mind.

  •      You can take the initiative and lead your own activities.

  •      You are willing to work in the evenings too.

  •      You are willing to share an apartment with other volunteers.

Conditions of Participation

Participation in the European Solidarity Corps is free of charge. You will receive accommodation throughout the entire project duration. In addition, you will receive money for meals and a small amount of pocket money for personal expenses throughout the entire duration of the project, including your vacation days.
