Get involved in an Italian ecovillage!
Progetto Gaia Terra in Northeast Italy is an experiential educational center focused on eco-sustainable construction, environmental rehabilitation and relational maturity. Its main goal is to promote sustainable lifestyles in areas such as environment, relationships and work/education.
Progetto Gaia Terra is looking for a total of 4 volunteers to get involved in the ecovillage through the European Solidarity Corps. The start date is flexible.
Your tasks
The ecovillage organized by Progetto Gaia Terra aims to transform society by promoting sustainable lifestyles on different levels.
As a volunteer, you will live in the ecovillage community and support the project through orchard and garden management, recycling and creative waste utilization, producing biodegradable products, etc. You will also be responsible for organizing all kinds of workshops/events that serve to promote the idea.
Specifically, you will be involved in activities such as managing orchards and gardens, practicing permaculture, processing natural foods, recycling, producing biodegradable products, organizing events, advertising via social media and leading youth meetings.
Accommodation and meals
You will live in a shared apartment with the other volunteers. The apartment is equipped with everything you need (water, electricity, heating, furniture). Free WiFi is available.
All meals are provided by the community and are vegan. Meals are usually eaten together.
