International volunteering camp in Portugal’s Parque Natural de Montesinho
Help protect the Parque Natural de Montesinho near Porto and its natural heritage by improving the signposting on three hiking trails and by implementing techniques that enhance the coexistence between rural activities and the park’s wildlife.

What’s it all about?
Your tasks at this camp:
- Improving the nature trails in the Montesinho Nature Park – installing signposts and information boards along three routes to promote sustainable ecotourism; making wooden tables and information boards
- Coexistence of agricultural activities and wildlife – installing electric fences to protect beehives from damage caused by bears and badgers, and to protect chestnut plantations from damage caused by wild boar, red deer and fallow deer.
- Supportive community – the local community draws up a list of its needs, which the workcamp will help to meet.
