“Youth is making waves – together for our blue planet”
Are you between 16 and 27 years old? Would you like to discuss the topics of the sea, water and biodiversity protection together with 150 young people at a total of 3 events? Do you have time to develop ideas and projects on these topics? It doesn't matter whether you are already experienced in working on one of the topics or whether you want to become active now - the only important thing is: get involved and get involved!
Since 2011, the youth format 'Youth l Future l Diversity - Youth Congress Biodiversity' has been carried out by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt and the Bundesamt für Naturschutz (Federal Office for Nature Conservation). The project for young people aged 16 to 27 has been implemented four times so far.
The fifth Biodiversity Youth Congress 2024 to 2025 is now starting with the slogan “Youth is making waves – together for our blue planet”.
The first two event dates have already been set:

Ideas workshop, March 22nd to 24th, 2024 in Kiel

Project workshop, June 28th to 30th, 2024 in Bad Homburg
As a final step, the Biodiversity Youth Congress, including the presentation of the results, is scheduled to take place in Osnabrück in 2025.
The costs for travel, accommodation and meals will be covered by the project budget.#

enjoy the impulses of experienced people and

have fun making a difference with the other participants,
then you’ve come to the right place at the Biodiversity Youth Congress!
It doesn't matter whether you have previous knowledge, you will receive a lot of inspiration and, together with the other participants, you will hear and learn a lot about protecting water and biodiversity. The development of group projects is the goal within the youth congress.

Apply online by January 21st, 2024 with your contact details and a letter of motivation that explains why you want to take part in the Biodiversity Youth Congress.
A committee will select the participants at the beginning of February 2024.
