05. December 2024

Thank you for your commitment!

Your commitment makes international Workcamps possible.

December 5th is International Volunteer Day. This day makes the importance of voluntary work in and for our society visible worldwide.

We take this day as an opportunity to thank you. IBG's work would not be possible without the many wonderful people who volunteer in our camps and seminars as participants, group leaders, trainers, local project partners or work supervisors. Long-term volunteers also support us every year with our work in the IBG office and at events through the European Solidarity Corps. And last but not least, IBG as an organization is represented by a board team that is made up of volunteers as well. Thank you!

This year we have...

  • ....organized a total of 23 international Workcamps, 3 ESC Volunteering Teams and 2 Youth Exchanges.

  • ...worked with 25 local cooperation partners and 53 camp leaders and camp leader trainees.

  • ...148 volunteers sent to camps in 25 different countries worldwide and 304 volunteers hosted in our camps in Germany.

Thank you for your support! Thank you for your time and commitment! Without you there would be no international work camps with IBG.

Camps, trainings and other projects for 2025

No matter how often or how long you have been active with IBG - we are happy about every motivated person who wants to get involved with us (again) in the coming year.

If you are currently making concrete plans for the spring, take a look at our first spring camps: Our work camp season in Germany starts at the beginning of March with a camp at the Waldschulheim Indelhausen. In April we will then help the Heidenheim Nature Theater with stage construction and other preparations for the 2025 summer season. If you would like to take part in one of the camps, just sign up or get in touch with us.

Registration for camps abroad starts at the end of February. If you would like to be notified as soon as the work camp program for the coming year is published, simply sign up for our 2025 program mailing list.

We are also offering several training courses for group leaders, each with a different focus. You can already register for:

  • "Group Leading in environmental projects" from April 30th to May 5th, 2025 in Kell am See (near Trier) and

  • "Gruppenleitung in internationalen Camps" from May 29th to June 1st, 2025 in Rottenburg (near Stuttgart).

We are already looking forward to the coming year and hope to see you again at one or another training course, camp, or as part of our 60th anniversary.
