Teenager Camp in France: Clermont L'Hérault

Discover an archaeological site full of mysteries and preserve the legacy of Clermont L'Hérault

The protohistoric oppidum (a type of fortified city built between the 6th and 3rd centuries BC) was the subject of archaeological excavations between 1983 and 1990. Under the supervision of archaeologists, our partners from Concordia France have already carried out some work in recent years that has brought the site to light and has preserved it.

The aim of this project is therefore to enhance the rich natural, cultural and archaeological heritage of Clermont L'Hérault.

Where does the camp take place?

Clermont L'Hérault is a charming little town north of Montpellier in southern France. It benefits from a Mediterranean climate and remarkable surroundings (Lake Salagou, rivers of the Gorges de l'Hérault nearby) and also has a rich cultural heritage with its castle and cathedral. In the heart of a protected landscape, you can enjoy outdoor activities and discover southern France.

Travel expenses

This project is supported by OFAJ, the Franco-German youth organization. Some volunteers from France, Germany and Spain may be entitled to reimbursement of their travel expenses on presentation of the original tickets.
