Help prepare the Cuntaria Fairy Tale Festival in Cilento, a festival dedicated to fairy tale telling.
Stella Cilento is a small village in the UNESCO National Park of Cilento, Diano and Alburni. Stella is in the hills but not far from the Cilento coast. With only 700 inhabitants and breathtaking panoramas, it is an unusual place to live. The people here are very hospitable and always ready for a chat... in their own dialect. The local population transmits an old tradition: the oral transmission of fairy tales.
The aim of this volunteer project is to merge nature and culture through art. Do your part to protect the environment and natural resources and support the Cilento Fairy Tale Festival in conveying inspiring values in an original way.
When?

The work
Volunteers will be involved in artistic, cultural and organizational activities related to the preparation and implementation of the “Cuntarìa” festival. Under the guidance of local artists and organizers, they will take part in creative workshops aimed at preparing artistic materials and installations for the event.
During the festival, volunteers will support the local team with logistical and organizational tasks such as setting up and dismantling installations, assisting artists and performers, managing stands, supporting food-related activities, cleaning and maintaining public spaces.
After the event, they will contribute to the restoration and cleaning of the areas involved. All activities are carried out under supervision and are supportive and educational in nature.
This project is funded as a volunteer team through the European Solidarity Corps.
This means that as a volunteer in this camp you will receive pocket money and a travel allowance for your trip from Germany to Italy. Participation in European Solidarity Corps projects is open to all young volunteers aged between 18 and 30 residing in a country participating in the programme.
