Work in a nature conservation project in France
Would you like to get involved practically and become active for the protection of nature? Then get involved in various landscape design projects in the French department of Herault in September!
When?
04th-18th September 2023
The project
The department of Herault operates an ambitious and voluntary land policy to protect sensitive natural areas: it acquires certain plots of land in order to preserve them as part of the compensatory measures. The estate you work on welcomes a shepherd and his sheep all year round. It is also a place for discovery classes who want to learn about ecology, environmental education and sustainable development. You can familiarize yourself with the flora and fauna on nature trails.
This place is a place where young and old are welcome. An agropastoralism project is also being carried out here: sheep and wild boar will assist you in the conservation work.
You will be accommodated directly on the site and will sleep in single tents (please bring your own sleeping bag and duvet!). A large tent is erected for community life. There are fixed sanitary facilities on the site.
Please note that this is an isolated environment surrounded by nature, with no Wi-Fi and no washing machine!
This project is funded as a volunteering team through the European Solidarity Corps.
This means that as a volunteer in this camp you will receive pocket money and a travel allowance for your trip from Germany to France. Participation in European Solidarity Corps projects is open to all young volunteers aged between 18 and 30 residing in a country participating in the programme.

We still have a few open spots for volunteers from Germany, so sign up here to be a part of this camp.
