Teenage camp in the south of France
In the French village of Laguépie in southern France, the headquarters of the association 'Citrus', which belongs to our partner organization Solidarités Jeunesses, is a place of exchange and meeting for young people from all over the world.
This summer, the volunteers from 'Citrus', together with a group of young volunteers aged 15 to 17, would like to build a book hut in the garden for an international 'book exchange' and build a path to the vegetable garden.
When?
13th-27th August 2024
The project
Take a 360° tour of 'Citrus' garden! The tour begins with the development of the site, a hub of international cultures and garden art.
You take part in building a wooden book hut. Once you're done, you can decorate them to your heart's content. The goal? A collection of books of all genres and in all languages to leave a trace of your travels and pass on your stories to new participants. So don't hesitate to bring your favorite books to share with your future friends.
In addition, the association is counting on you to create a small stone path that marks the four corners of the garden. The path leads to the vegetable garden. Here you can harvest ready-to-eat vegetables and help with the processing.
If you finish these tasks quickly, you'll eventually have the opportunity to create "low-tech" tools that you can use to create cultural activities in the garden.
