Help build 'Alpakaland' - an animal-assisted healing space for Ukrainian children
The organization Migration Aid in Hungary runs an accommodation for refugees and a Ukrainian school in Budapest. This year, Migration Aid wants to create a space where children can be psychologically rehabilitated.
To this end, Migration Aid has acquired an empty plot of land in the village of Esztergályhorváti in Hungary, which currently only has a lot of trees on it. Four to five houses (for 16-20 people) are to be built here on an area of around 3,000 square meters, in which children and their parents can live for around two weeks. In the small community, the children are supposed to be psychologically rehabilitated by working with alpacas.
The official opening of the site will take place on May 11, 2024, and the first children's camp will start at the beginning of June.
