Join endeavors to improve animal welfare for donkeys in Portugal!
The main purpose of this work camp is the restoration of the rural heritage, reinforcing the biodiversity in Palancar, and fostering the protection of donkeys and their quality of life.
When is it?
July 21 – August 01, 2025
What is it about?
Your help is needed with:
• caring for the donkeys (feeding, cleaning, interacting, etc.)
• maintenance of the infrastructure and the donkey enclosure
• restoring dry walls, fostering biodiversity, building and setting up nesting boxes for birds, building a fence, improving the areas for the donkeys
Another aim is to bring the camp participants closer together with the locals of the surrounding villages to foster an intercultural, international, and trans generational exchange between rural and urban people.
