Outdoor camp in Czech Republic
Get out of the city, just live in nature and let technology be technology? In this camp you can do exactly that. It takes place in a remote, hilly area of the Bohemian Forest near the western border of the Czech Republic. Just the right camp for anyone who would like to try out a simple lifestyle in the forest and is not afraid of longer hikes.
When?
August 28th - September 12th
What is the project about?
You work in a nature reserve about 3 km from the camp, where you hike every day. The main work consists of mowing, raking and collecting grass in protected meadows. This work can be physically demanding. Since the meadows can be very wet, you should definitely bring waterproof work shoes (or rubber boots), rain gear and a hat for sun protection. Work gloves are provided.
You will also work on maintenance work directly at the campsite and in the nearby forest by doing various craft work. At the end of the work camp, you will help dismantle the campsite and transport all the material to Prague, where it will be stored over the winter.
Friederike has already taken part in the 'Back to Nature' camp twice and reports on her experiences here.
