Youth Hearing: "Youth in Lockdown"

How are you? The Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration Baden-Württemberg listens to you at the youth hearing on May 15, 2021.

Meeting friends, celebrating together and trying out new things have only been possible to a very limited extent for over a year now. Many youth centers and clubs are closed, making plans is difficult and important life decisions for the future have had to wait. Many young people have the impression that politicians are not interested in their perspective or that they are only perceived in their role as schoolchildren, as nationwide studies such as JuCo and KiCo have shown. The youth hearing is an offer that aims to bring young people into conversation with one another and with politicians.

The pandemic affects us all, let's listen to each other.

We all need space for reflection and resonance: To tell what is scaring us; to get rid of what bothers us; to make suggestions on how to do better; to jointly process the effects of the pandemic. The youth hearing offers such a - digital - space. This is a space for young people to address their issues, to exchange personal experiences, to lead political debates and to creatively deal with their own situation and that of society as a whole during and with Corona in artistic workshops.

Youth hearing for 150 young people between the ages of 14 and 27 from Baden-Württemberg

The Minister of Social Affairs and Integration Manne Lucha will take time on May 15, 2021 to listen to the perspectives of young people and to talk to them.

150 young people between the ages of 14 and 27 from Baden-Württemberg can take part. The youth hearing will take place on May 15, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Zoom.

In order to make the perspective of as many young people as possible visible, there are offers for youth work professionals in the run-up to the youth hearing, e.g. prepared workshops for youth groups and various offers on Instagram at @jugendhearing_bw.

Be there and make your voice heard!

There are no special requirements for participation, after all, we are all equally experts in life with the Covid 19 pandemic. The registration deadline is May 13, 2021, you can find the online registration for the youth hearing here.

The event will be translated into German Sign Language (DGS). Do you have any further suggestions on how the event can be made more inclusive for everyone? Then send your suggestions and ideas to the organizers: team@jugendhearing.de.

The youth hearing is carried out by the Baden-Württemberg Service Center for Children and Youth Participation in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration.
