You're taking part in your first Workcamp or ESC Volunteering Team and wondering what awaits you there? You have never been travelling alone and need tips for your trip? Are you registered for a longer voluntary service and would like to prepare for it? We are always happy to answer your questions in person, by email, or by phone!

We summarized important basic information for you in the "Preparation for your Workcamp" or "Preparation for your ESC Volunteering Team" info packs.
Here you'll find tips on how to travel as environmentally friendly as possible.

We also invite you to join our preparatory day. Participation for all volunteers going abroad is already included in the placement fee.

Preparatory Day 2026

June 6th, 2026 in Mühle Bachprinz , in the Odenwald region:

During preparation day we work with you on the following topics: Rights and obligations of volunteers, group life, conflict management, anti-discrimination, security, and practical tips for the trip.

In addition, there will be many testimonials from our team members and other former Workcamp participants; the personal exchange of experience is the focus of the training. You can find more information about the preparation day here.

Prepare online with iPrepare

Our partners from Egyesek Youth Association in Hungary,  Xena Centro Scambi e Dinamiche Interculturali  in Italy, and Čia Čekija from the Czech Republic, have developed iPrepare. It is an online tool for volunteers and sending or supporting organizations and helps you prepare for your project abroad.

iPrepare is free of charge and currently available in English, Hungarian, Czech, and Italian.
